Being “At Choice”
In this retreat, we are always “at choice” to choose the level of interaction and participation which is in alignment with our own inner desire for personal comfort, safety and/or challenge in each moment.
To this end, we encourage participants to take a “Pause” - anytime you find yourself feeling a need to make a choice regarding participation in (or continuing) any activity:
Check in with yourself...
Are you feeling an enthusiastic Yes, a definite No, or something in between (maybe something else is what you desire)?
And if it isn't an enthusiastic “Yes,” then their response is a “No.”
As a community, we expect consent to be honored and respected. Ignoring another person’s boundaries is not an option.
Also, we invite you to allow space for when No or Yes changes for you. If you say No to the person’s specific request and yet are interested in connecting with this person in a different way, let them know what you are interested in doing and continue communication about that.
Please take the time before the retreat to reflect on what your desires are around sexuality, touch, and intimacy.
Please consider any relationship agreements you already have and discuss those agreements with your partner(s). Be clear in how you express agreements and limitations to relationship to others at the retreat.
